whose pose

12/20/2022

so quick to judge so slow to think
free verses those take time to sink
in sided forms she confided in norms
n derided those worms whose soil
n storms derived from rodent swarms
n carrion crows

no slow down yet come quick some set
uptown let's meet n see n get
it isn't it known but what's the weather
wasn't it wetter when throes untethered
he'll mettle better yet we'll settle
with a she who knows

so quick to feel so slow to learn
diminutive n somewhat stern
deluded in fact how who don't discern
dare curse the dust within the urn
n distrust woes of those who say
who stays n who goes
who says what when is honest ask
what did you mask what did I miss
who how wounds welt with wisdom was
when winding up we get the muzzle while
finding pieces of the puzzle
love done do's n does

so quick you care but don't you slow
down here to listen fraught with fear
you chose n sought n came to hear some jazz
don't say it hasn't changed, it has
don't tell me it's the same, it's not
how the river flows

n when it slows, constricts, then quick
foaming tumbles n rapid roars
this river lives n fights n bites your oars
n twisting shapes your heightened shores
n winding finds its wounded ways
wiser as it shows
