poetry

by Jason Morales

of this of that
inner rings
peculiar and rarely
cella
anguilla anguilla

throws & parallels
gardenpomes

vicious

11/17/2007

don't you know what you want
you write you wonder
when the insight you had
the other night will sink in
when you open up to the pulse
the price of pace and practice

poetry comes flowing through
the pen that glides the paper true to source
you love of course
you strive
alive
you dig the jive that jolts with luscious volts
of storied lightning
veins are seared and yet
you

offer yourself
to the gods
and to the dogs
and to the earth
for what you're worth
release it all

release the highs that came
and blessed your game by rising you
but don't forget the pain the dark aims
roots are driving drilling down
thru thickest dirt
so it might hurt the fact the curtain's closing

gather up your alms
and give the globe a rush of soul
your skin your bones fluids and tones
and times you laughed so damn hard
that your side ached like your back aches
lift your ribs
lift up the corners of your vicious lips
lift your thoughts releasing grips
reality slips thru
like water

offer yourself
to the gods
and to the dogs
and to the earth
for what you're worth
release it all

release it all
