poetry

of this of that
inner rings
peculiar and rarely
cella
anguilla anguilla

even a rock

1/3/1996

even a rock is beaten by
waves that tickle the shoreline

lovers gaze from the outskirts and
he follows a pelican formation
threading the yellowsky but
she feels something else
like the ocean

she trembles with anticipation
as the sun parts her waters and
lays upon her a kiss and
melts into her and then
diasappears

"the ocean is so calm" he says but
she tastes the salt of waters
from another wave of passion
